We are seeking an ER/HR Partner for Europe & EM (full-time or 4 days per week) to work in a hybrid role that supports both the employee relations activity across the territory, whilst also providing generalist HR Partner support. As a core member of the divisional HR team, you will report directly to the regional Head of HR and work closely with the division's Senior HR Consultant and Talent Acquisition Partner. The remit covers geographically dispersed and multi-discipline teams; with people located in London, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, South Africa, Bermuda, Singapore & Australia.

You will be directly responsible for managing all Employee Relations across the division, as well as supporting key generalist projects as required to deliver cultural change and commercial impact, which will include building relationships with commercial leaders across Europe and providing HR Business Partner support. You will also be required to work closely and provide guidance as required to Group HR colleagues on ER activity across Europe; along with introducing, updating and improving our policies and templates for our European entities. You will also work closely to collaborate with Group HR Ops to review and bespoke employment conditions and processes as required by local legislation.

Your role in the Team: Playing an important role in helping to manage the division's Employment Relations practices, you'll work hand-in-hand with the divisional HR team, to support local managers in providing employee relations advice, leading on organisational restructuring activity, capability, and disciplinary and grievance issues. In addition, you'll support the divisional HR team through your involvement with key generalist projects as required to deliver cultural change and commercial impact. This role requires strong collaboration skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence organizational culture, working with key stakeholders to manage all Employment Relations issues for the division.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage all ER cases across the division, taking end-to-end ownership of all activity, including reorganisation, capability, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
  • Provide professional guidance and advice to line managers on employee relations cases.
  • Coach and support managers on people matters, being readily available to provide support.
  • Attend performance management, disciplinary hearings, grievances, and absence management meetings to support business leaders when needed.
  • Manage partnerships with external counsel, including managing the legal budget for the division.
  • Serve as the escalation point for the HR operations team, supporting complex enquiries when HR Operations are unable to resolve manager/employee requests.
  • Develop knowledge management process to share learnings within the E&EM team and Group HR Ops.
  • Collaborate with Group HR Ops to review and bespoke contractual contracts and processes as required by local legislation.
  • Partner with Country Heads on their commercial priorities and local people's strategies and needs.
  • Stay up to date with relevant employment legislation and ensure the organisation is always protected.

What you’ll need for this role:

  • Significant experience in HR combined with a strong background in financial services or the FinTech space is beneficial.
  • Proven experience working in a large organisation, with a thorough understanding of complex and multi-national HR and corporate dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, drive and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Open to considering candidates working 4 days a week.
