Your role
The programme delivery Lead is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of Infrastructure & Operations deliverables in support of IG’s wider Transformation programme. This role acts as the critical link between Product Managers, Enablement teams, and external delivery partners, ensuring that infrastructure and operational workstreams are delivered on time, to quality, and in a way that enables the broader transformation agenda to succeed. This is a highly cross functional role requiring strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to influence without direct authority, and clear, confident communication across technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organisation.
Your role in the team:
- Programme & Delivery Management
- Own planning and delivery of I&O deliverables from start to finish across transformation programmes, ensuring alignment with priorities set by Product Managers and overall programme milestones.
- Build and maintain robust delivery plans, tracking dependencies, risks, and issues across multiple concurrent I&O workstreams.
- Proactively identify delivery risks and blockers, escalating early and driving mitigation actions to keep programmes on track.
- Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality, governance, and compliance standards before sign-off.
- Cross Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product Managers to align infrastructure and operational delivery with product roadmaps and business priorities.
- Work with Enablement teams to ensure teams are equipped, trained, and supported to adopt new infrastructure, tooling, and ways of working.
- Act as a central coordination point across technical delivery teams, ensuring consistent understanding of scope, priorities, and timelines.
- External Partner Management
- Manage relationships with external delivery partners and vendors, ensuring contracted deliverables are met to agreed scope, cost, and timeline.
- Hold partners accountable to delivery commitments through structured governance, regular reviews, and clear performance tracking.
- Act as an escalation point for partner related delivery issues, resolving conflicts and course correcting quickly where needed.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, translating complex technical delivery into clear, business relevant updates.
- Provide regular, transparent reporting on programme status, risks, and dependencies to leadership and steering groups.
- Act as a clear and confident communicator, able to tailor messaging for technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership alike.
- Foster a collaborative culture, ensuring all parties, internal teams and external partners, remain aligned and engaged throughout delivery.
- Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and maintain appropriate programme governance, ensuring decisions are made at the right level and documented clearly.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, ways of working, and cross team collaboration.
- Support the maturation of I&O’s contribution to transformation programmes, embedding lessons learned into future delivery.
