Your team
Our Cloud Platform Team is instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure in AWS and GCP, while creating tools that empower other teams to work more efficiently. We serve as key technical enablers, building automation and self-service capabilities that streamline operations across the organisation. Our Cloud Platform Team thrives on making complex systems accessible to others, with a passion for removing technical barriers and enabling teams to focus on their core objectives rather than infrastructure challenges.
Your role in the Team's Success
The Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer will participate in the design, deployment & operation of IaaS & PaaS on a multi-cloud platform and will design and implement cloud best practices, and developer enablement in AWS/GCP. Manage the cloud environments, formalise them using IAC, and connect with the on-prem infrastructure. Provide tools for continuous delivery, management, and audit of the AWS/GCP cloud. Create automation of repetitive processes, and hand them over to the development teams.

- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and reproducibility
- Establish robust security protocols and compliance frameworks
- Design and build self-service capabilities that accelerate other teams' workflows
- Evaluate, implement and streamline DevOps practices
- Establish a continuous build environment to accelerate software deployment and development processes
- Optimise cloud resources to balance performance and cost-efficiency
- Develop comprehensive monitoring and logging systems
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide technical guidance

What you'll need for this role
- 8-10 years of experience, of which at least 4 years in designing and administering complex cloud Infrastructure platforms (AWS, GCP)
- 4+ years of experience in Infrastructure As Code (Terraform/Ansible/CDK/Pulumi, etc), on-prem/cloud Kubernetes administration
- Must have DevSecOps skills required (CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Gitlab, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Python, Git, etc.)
- Solid working knowledge of networking and CDNs
- Deep understanding of services like VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, VPN (AWS, GCP)
- A good understanding of the IaaS, PaaS layers
- Experience in implementing relevant monitoring and alerting actions and writing and maintaining technical documentation
- Experience in managing Kubernetes clusters and services (EKS preferred, but AKS or GKE acceptable) and building docker images
