Your team: As part of our Sustainability Team you will report to our Head of Investor Relations and collaborate with our Chief Executive Officer to help ensure that IG operates in an environmentally and socially responsible way, whilst also complying with regulations, meeting investor expectations, and enhancing long-term value by addressing sustainability risks and opportunities. As sustainability practices continue to evolve, you'll play a key role in ensuring our business stays at the forefront of these developments.
Your role in the Team's Success: The Head of Sustainability will oversee our organisation's sustainability division, managing all sustainability reporting and ensuring regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will monitor and enhance our sustainability reporting while developing our sustainability strategy in alignment with our business objectives.
What you'll do:
- Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy that aligns business goals and stakeholder expectations. Collaborate with subject matter experts to create effective metrics and KPIs for tracking sustainability performance.
- Reporting and Compliance: Oversee Group-wide sustainability reporting, ensuring all disclosures are accurate, comprehensive and timely. Lead the preparation of sustainability sections for IG Group's Annual Report and other sustainability communications. Monitor and identify emerging global sustainability reporting trends.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with senior leadership to embed sustainability within corporate decision-making processes with the objective of enhancing efficiency and driving growth. Build partnerships with business units and external providers to optimise commercial outcomes.
- Management: Oversee sustainability budget and manage key external provider relationships. Provide direct line management to the Head of Environment.
What you'll need for this role: Minimum 5 years of professional experience, preferably in finance or technology sectors with compliance or regulatory focus. At least 3 years working in sustainability with comprehensive knowledge of reporting frameworks, including ESG ratings agency requirements, and regulatory bodies (CSRD, ISSB, TCFD, SECR, SASB, GRI). Proven leadership in developing and implementing effective sustainability strategies. Exceptional ability to manage stakeholders, coordinating diverse internal and external groups to advance sustainability objectives in fast-paced commercial environment. Advanced analytical capabilities, skilled at transforming complex sustainability data into clear insights and communications. Adaptable professional who excels in fast-paced environments amid evolving regulatory landscapes.
