We are seeking a commercially minded Product Manager to join our growing Product team. The role sits at the heart of our payments and FX product offering – requiring someone with genuine domain knowledge who can balance product ambition with regulatory rigour and a sharp focus on client experience. You will own the product lifecycle across key areas of our platform, driving the best outcome for the customer while working with internal stakeholders and external partners. A solid grounding in payments/FX and the regulatory environment we operate in will be central to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and communicate a clear product roadmap for our payments and FX products, balancing business objectives, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to product strategy alongside the Product Director, helping to set direction and articulate a compelling vision for our payments and FX proposition.
- Collaborate with Engineers to maintain and prioritise an orderly backlog of work for engineering teams.
- Proactively identify new product opportunities across payments and FX – whether new functionality, payment rail expansion, or adjacent product capabilities – and build the case for pursuing them.
- Develop a deep understanding of payment rails, FX execution, currency conversion, settlement flows, and bank integrations as they relate to our platform.
- Own core infrastructure capabilities including virtual IBANs, multi-currency accounts, and payment routing, working with Engineering and banking partners to deliver scalable solutions.
- Shape our approach to payment screening and transaction monitoring, ensuring sanctions, fraud, and AML controls are effective and well-integrated without creating unnecessary client friction.
- Ensure regulatory and onboarding requirements are embedded in product design from the outset, working closely with stakeholders throughout the business.
- Champion a seamless client experience across the full payments lifecycle, identifying friction and driving measurable improvements.
- Lead cross-functional delivery as the primary product voice across planning, refinement, and stakeholder communications.
- Track product KPIs and OKRs, using data to drive continuous improvement and inform prioritisation.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Product management experience in payments, FX, fintech, or a related regulated environment.
- Good working knowledge of payments and FX – including payment rails, FX pricing, bank integrations, virtual IBANs, or multi-currency infrastructure.
- Familiarity with payment screening, sanctions, and transaction monitoring and how these are balanced against client experience.
- Understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks including KYC/KYB, AML, and FCA requirements.
- Experience with client-facing or onboarding flows and the compliance constraints they involve.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; able to influence without direct authority.
- Comfortable managing complex, multi-stakeholder roadmaps at pace.
- Exposure to SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments, Open Banking, or treasury products is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A true team player with a winning mentality and strong work ethic committed to continuous improvement and high performance.
- Adaptable, tenacious and flexible who can perform under pressure.
Behaviours & Cultural Fit
- Curious and proactive – you stay close to developments in payments and FX and seek to understand how things work.
- Commercially astute – you grasp the business impact of product decisions and articulate trade-offs clearly.
- Collaborative – you thrive cross-functionally and know when to lead, listen, and elevate.
- Detail‑oriented – you don’t cut corners on compliance or quality.
- Resilient – you navigate ambiguity and competing priorities with composure.
