The Marketing Director will lead the strategic direction, execution, and performance of all marketing initiatives at IFX Payments. This role is responsible for driving brand awareness (including delivering our exciting rebranding project), customer acquisition, and revenue growth across global markets. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in financial services or fintech marketing, with a strong balance of creativity, analytical thinking and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with IFX Payments’ growth objectives.
  • Position the brand as a leader in international payments, FX solutions and financial technology.
  • Identify new market opportunities and oversee go-to-market strategies for products and services.
  • Own and evolve the IFX Payments brand, ensuring consistency across all channels and regions.
  • Lead PR, media relations and corporate communications to strengthen market presence.
  • Oversee content strategy including thought leadership, case studies and digital storytelling.
  • Drive digital marketing initiatives including SEO, PPC, paid social, email marketing and marketing automation.
  • Optimise lead generation funnels and conversion rates across all digital touchpoints.
  • Leverage data and analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Collaborate with product and sales teams to develop compelling value propositions and messaging.
  • Support product launches with targeted campaigns and enablement materials.
  • Translate complex financial products into clear, customer-focused messaging.
  • Build, lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage external agencies, vendors and partners.
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Compliance and Leadership teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
  • Support sales enablement through tools, campaigns and materials that drive pipeline growth.
  • Own the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to maximise impact.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to track performance and inform decision-making.
  • Set the context for a high-performance team, create clarity by setting standards and expectations, lead by example, drive results through action, generate energy and positive engagement, and actively encourage team members’ personal development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Director or senior marketing leader, preferably in fintech, foreign exchange, financial services or payments.
  • Strong understanding of FX markets, international payments or B2B financial products.
  • Demonstrated success in digital marketing, demand generation and brand building.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • True team player with a winning mentality and strong work ethic committed to continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Adaptable, tenacious and flexible who can perform under pressure.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with the ability to inspire, motivate and energise teams to achieve high performance.
  • Ability to create context and clarity for team members and handle difficult conversations.
  • Ability to create a results-oriented environment where success is celebrated and high-performance standards are constantly upheld.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
