- Description
- Overview of the role
IFX Payments is looking for an ambitious, organised and commercially minded Events & Marketing Executive to join our team.
This is a brand-new role for the business, with a huge amount of scope to grow and develop with the role.
This is a varied, hands-on role spanning hosted client events, hospitality, conferences and sponsorships and wider marketing campaigns.
You will take ownership of events from initial idea through to delivery, working closely with colleagues across the business as well as external venues, suppliers, partners and agencies.
We are looking for someone who combines strong execution with creativity: someone who can run an excellent client event, coordinate our presence at industry conferences, and help ensure the IFX brand is represented consistently and professionally across every touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities
- Events & Client Hospitality
- Plan and deliver IFX client events, hospitality experiences, networking events from concept through to completion.
- Manage event logistics including venues, suppliers, invitations, guest lists, catering, branding, entertainment and on-the-day delivery.
- Create memorable, high-quality experiences that strengthen relationships with clients, prospects and partners.
- Manage event budgets and ensure activity is delivered effectively and to a consistently high standard.
- Coordinate post-event follow-up and help assess the commercial impact and success of events.
- Maintain a forward calendar of IFX events and hospitality activity.
- Conferences & Sponsorships
- Coordinate IFX's participation in relevant industry conferences, exhibitions and sponsorship opportunities.
- Manage conference logistics including registrations, stands, branding, collateral, speaking opportunities, meetings and hospitality.
- Work with commercial teams to maximise the value of conferences before, during and after each event.
- Liaise with event organisers and external suppliers to ensure smooth delivery.
- Help evaluate potential sponsorship and partnership opportunities based on audience, brand fit and commercial value.
- Brand & Marketing Campaigns
- Support the development and execution of integrated marketing and brand campaigns.
- Ensure the IFX brand is presented consistently across events, digital channels, collateral and communications.
- Assist with the production of marketing materials, presentations, merchandise and branded assets.
- Brief and manage external designers, agencies, printers and other suppliers where required.
- Work collaboratively with commercial and other internal teams to identify marketing opportunities and bring ideas to life.
- Support wider initiatives that increase awareness of IFX and strengthen its position in the market.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
You will ideally have 2-3 years’ experience in events, marketing or a combined events and marketing role, preferably within a B2B financial services or similarly professional environment.
You will be comfortable taking responsibility for projects rather than simply supporting them, while still enjoying the practical detail required to make things happen.
We are looking for someone who is
- Highly organised, with excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
- Confident managing multiple events, campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experienced in delivering professional client-facing events and hospitality.
- Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders, clients, venues, agencies and suppliers.
- A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail.
- Commercially aware and interested in understanding how marketing activity supports business development and client relationships.
- Creative and proactive, with the confidence to bring forward new ideas.
- Able to work independently and take ownership while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Calm and solutions-focused when plans change or deadlines are tight.
