The role involves building a Core Accounting function with the pace and discipline of an in-house Finance team in financial services or trading. Responsibilities include:
- Owning the monthly close and timely publication of clean management accounts to FP&A.
- Ensuring the integrity and quality of the books, including accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany transactions.
- Defining and enforcing data-quality boundaries with Crypto Operations.
- Managing statutory accounts and local filings for each of the group’s sister entities across multiple jurisdictions.
- Account confidently for complex financial instruments and digital-asset positions.
- Owning the financial-controls framework and leading a small accounting team.
- Driving the adoption of AI and modern automation across Finance operations.
- Partnering with FP&A, Treasury/Crypto Operations, and external service providers.
Must Haves:
- Recognised senior accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or international equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience in industry.
- Hands-on group controllership at multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction scale.
- Comfortable accounting for complex financial instruments.
- Direct, accountable communicator.
- Strong bias for structure, automation, and a forward view on Finance.
Should Haves:
- Direct experience accounting for digital assets and DeFi positions.
- Experience preparing a Finance function for first-time external investor diligence.
- Experience leading a small remote team across multiple time zones.
