The Aerospace and Defense Business Unit of IFS is seeking a qualified Presales Solution Architect with functional expertise in ERP – A&D Manufacturing and/or Aftermarket Services/MRO/EAM, to support presales engagements for IFS Cloud solutions. This role is pivotal in shaping solution strategies, demonstrating product capabilities, and aligning IFS offerings with customer business needs.
As part of the A&D Presales Team, you will collaborate with Key Account Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Consultants to drive enterprise software sales and deliver compelling value propositions to prospects and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Work in partnership with sales teams to plan and deliver presales activities aligned to customer business challenges.
- Support responses to RFPs and RFIs, including solution fit assessments and gap analysis.
- Lead discovery sessions and prospect discussions to understand business priorities and pain points.
- Design and present tailored IFS Cloud solutions across the Aerospace & Defense manufacturing and aftermarket/MRO value chain.
- Deliver clear, engaging product demonstrations and explain implementation approaches, highlighting IFS’ low total cost of ownership.
- Help set clear and realistic expectations for customers and contribute to successful licence and services outcomes.
- Develop and maintain industry‑specific materials such as demo scripts, business models, presentations, and white papers.
- Keep up to date with IFS product developments and industry trends, continuously building your expertise.
- Contribute to internal Business Unit and global presales initiatives, including the development of shared presales content.
- Experience (typically 5+ years) working with enterprise application software, particularly across end‑to‑end manufacturing and/or aftermarket services (MRO/EAM, complex assets).
- Background in presales, solution consulting, business value engineering, or business architecture roles.
- Knowledge of the Aerospace & Defense sector (Commercial and/or Defense), including OEM, EAM, MRO, fleet management or related areas.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- A proactive and organised approach, with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues across global teams and contributing to an inclusive, positive working environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally (approximately 30–50%), with a valid passport.
