This role had direct responsibility for countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and will also provide cross-regional support as needed.
  • Supporting the Global Charts & Certifications manager with a wide range of national charts and certification development projects. Initiatives range from rolling out new charts and certifications programs, to delivering ad-hoc deep dive analyses to stakeholders, through to building and launching public facing charts programs, across more than 60 countries around the world.
  • Providing support to priority global projects, including the update of Global Principles for National Charts, the development of reference materials for IFPI’s Global Charts, and the implementation of steps to mitigating the impact of streaming fraud on charts worldwide.
  • Supporting with queries from senior global and regional leaders across the music industry, such as producing ad-hoc deep dive analysis of charting tracks and artist performance using deep charts consumption data and related datasets, or explaining global and national chart best practice principles. This role will quickly be seen as a subject matter expert and should be able to respond as such.
  • Preparation of materials and research for key committee meetings, such as IFPI’s Main Board and IFPI’s global charts committees, as well as regional committees for Latin America, Asia, MENA and Sub-Saharan Africa.
