Your job duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise and coordinate warehouse operations across assigned shifts, ensuring productivity, service, and quality targets are consistently achieved.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse colleagues and Team Leaders, promoting a high-performance culture and driving engagement across the team.
  • Maintain high standards of people compliance through proactive team management, employee accountability, and disciplinary case management.
  • Plan daily shift briefings, communicating business updates, operational priorities, safety messages, and performance expectations.
  • Monitor and manage shift KPIs, taking corrective action where required to ensure departmental objectives are met.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, hygiene, and company policies, promoting safe working practices at all times.
  • Oversee stock control activities, including cycle counts, inventory checks, and stock validation processes to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy across two sites.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages, and inventory variances, implementing corrective and preventative actions where necessary.
  • Coordinate labour resources effectively to meet changing operational demands while maintaining efficiency and service levels.
  • Support the training, development, and performance management of team members, identifying opportunities to improve capability and succession planning.
  • Ensure Warehouse Management System (WMS) transactions are completed accurately and inventory records remain up to date.
  • Monitor workflow across inbound, storage, replenishment, picking, and dispatch functions to ensure service level agreements are achieved.
  • Conduct regular operational audits and warehouse inspections to maintain compliance, accuracy, and operational standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce errors, and improve overall warehouse performance.
  • Manage escalations and operational issues during the shift, liaising with other departments to minimise disruption to customer service.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation throughout the warehouse, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Deputise for the Warehouse Manager when required, providing operational leadership and decision-making support.
