Job Description

Shift Pattern: Monday‑Friday rotating shift – 06:00am‑14:00pm & 14:00pm‑22:00pm.

Your job duties will include but are not limited to the following

  • Run a busy shift managing around 50 people across various workstreams.
  • Handle damaged items in a fast‑paced environment where quick decision‑making is required.
  • Assume most HR aspects: attendance, performance management, briefing the team, and reacting to operational dynamics.
  • Review and implement staffing levels to meet efficiency targets.
  • Provide training for new and existing staff to achieve the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Support the Shift Supervisor to achieve timely and efficient receipt, pallet build, put‑away and dispatch of stock.
  • Ensure efficient receipt and pallet build of returned customer orders to maintain SLA targets.
  • Maintain Health and Safety standards.
  • Maintain optimum levels of stock integrity.
  • Develop and train all team members to maximise their contribution to the warehouse and plan for succession.
  • Manage and motivate the shift team to achieve or exceed productivity and service KPIs.
  • Monitor and control the work environment to operate at optimum efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and operatives to find solutions to potential challenges.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing teams within a multi‑client warehouse environment is desirable.
  • Process‑oriented with an appreciation for specific client requirements.
  • Track record of delivering quality and cost improvements through continuous improvement.
  • People manager who leads by example, encourages team spirit, and can motivate a team.
  • Adaptable and responsive to change, able to monitor workflow and adjust workforce accordingly.
  • Computer literate and able to follow complex instructions.
