- Celyn Nights: Monday to Thursday 6pm - 6am
- Celyn Days: Monday to Thursday 6am - 6pm

- Vyrnwy Days: Saturday and Sunday 6am - 6pm
About the Role
We are looking for a Maintenance and Engineering Technician with a proven track record in a manufacturing environment to carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities. You will be situated at our world class components manufacturing site in Corwen with over £50 million worth of state‑of‑the‑art machinery. You should have experience of electrical and mechanical fault finding with a proactive approach to productive planned maintenance.
Key Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
- Follow PPM schedule for all equipment
- Maintain a stock of critical spare parts for all equipment
- General maintenance of site infrastructure
- Carry out periodic safety checks on equipment
- First point of contact for equipment breakdowns, liaising with external engineers when required
- Complete breakdown repair records
- Complete daily reports of activities and equipment
You will be reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Team.
Preferred but not required Qualifications & Skills:
- Apprentice trained with City & Guilds and NVQ in engineering or equivalent
- Carry out fault diagnosis (electrical and mechanical) - PLC experience is an advantage
- Ensure that all repairs are executed in a timely, cost‑effective manner
- Work with all parties to minimise process downtime and maximise equipment productivity
- Basic level of computer skills
- Understanding of pneumatic & hydraulic systems
- Complete reporting feedback timely and effectively
- Conduct RCA identifying fault down to component level
- You must be safety conscious and ideally have undertaken relevant Health and Safety training
- Good knowledge and understanding of CNC punch machines, press brakes, fibre and CO2 lasers, robotic welding and manual welding equipment would be advantageous

- Fault Finding & Problem Solving: Uses a practical hands‑on approach to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults. Applies logical thinking to identify root causes and help prevent repeat failures. Supports effective repairs in a timely and cost‑conscious manner to minimise downtime.
- Teamwork & Communication: Works closely with production teams, engineers, site leaders and external contractors when required. Communicates clearly on breakdowns, repairs and planned maintenance activities. Contributes positively as part of a flexible team and supports business needs across sites when required.
- Reliability & Continuous Improvement: Takes pride in delivering reliable maintenance standards that support equipment performance. Looks for opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime and prevent future faults. Supports good housekeeping, spare parts control and organised ways of working.
- Adaptability & Urgency: Responds positively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment where priorities can change quickly. Demonstrates flexibility across shift patterns, tasks and site requirements when needed. Maintains focus under pressure and works with urgency to keep equipment running effectively.

- Practical understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication and welding equipment would be advantageous
- Awareness of fault prevention, root cause analysis and continuous improvement methods is desirable
- Willingness to travel between group sites when required to support maintenance activities and business needs
