Our Clients & Strategy team covers Business Development, Investor Relations, External Relations, Sustainable Investment and Brand, Marketing & Communications, including Internal Communications. It is responsible for all communications to investor prospects, existing investors and their asset consultants, as well as a broad range of other stakeholders, including governments and media.

The Role
The role is responsible for providing strategic planning and business management support to the Global Head of Client Solutions (GHCS). This role will focus on these key areas:
- Strategic Initiative Delivery and Business Optimisation
- Direct management of strategic projects on behalf of the GHCS as required.
- Develop and implement an effective knowledge management system.
- Progress responses to enquiries from a range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority in a discrete and sensitive manner.
- Identify opportunities for improved efficiency across the business, partnering with stakeholders to obtain their buy in and drive positive change.
- Draft regular team updates and help organize vlogs etc.
- Proactively ensure the right mix of client, prospect, consultant and stakeholder meetings are scheduled (via Sheena) and the appropriate preparation and follow ups are implemented.
- Devise and help drive a program of more regular dialogue for GHCS with each investment team around agreed mutual SLA goals.
- Help develop global office and meeting schedule to tie in with C&S LT, Board and other commitments.
- Business Leadership and Management
- Provide comprehensive administrative support at relevant senior‑level meetings and committees as required by the GHCS.
- Ensuring that high‑level meetings run smoothly and efficiently, to help facilitate effective decision‑making and maintain a clear record of discussions, outcomes and follow ups.
- Undertake research and prepare reports and briefing documents.
- Act as a key coordinator as required for internal and external meetings.
- Where appropriate act as an appointed deputy for the GHCS.
- Work collaboratively with the GCS business operations team and enabling functions including Finance, People & Culture, Risk & Compliance etc.
- Ensuring open communication and alignment of priorities and effective delivery of business goals. This will include meeting goals within pillar 4 (enterprise partnership) to communicate regular progress.
- Ensure GHCS is fully and appropriately briefed for key internal and external meetings.
- Work closely with the GHCS and the Executive Assistant to ensure active and efficient management of email / meeting requests.
Your Background and Experience
Experience
- Relatable experience in a similar role, e.g. Chief of Staff, and/or within funds management.
- Able to demonstrate previous experience in managing senior stakeholders to achieve outcomes, including the ability to effectively influence and challenge.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a complex global business, working across and appropriately influencing matrix teams.
- Experience of working in a self‑directed manner.
Qualifications
- Tertiary-educated with a degree in relevant discipline, or comparable experience.
- IMC or CFA ideal but not required.
Business Knowledge
- High degree of organizational awareness, understanding of where to engage to efficiently manage issues.
- Empathy and the ability to see issues from the perspective of a C-suite executive.
Technical knowledge
- Strong communication capability and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with the confidence and credibility to act quickly.
- An appetite for detail and an eye for the strategic.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and high levels of change.
- Highly developed organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and understand key messages from varied audiences.
- Knowledge of how an institutional sales business operates.
