Lead Security Architect in London

London Full-Time On-site
I

Lead Security Architect | MSSP | London (Hybrid)

About the role

My client is a well established UK Managed Security Service Provider, and they're hiring a Lead Security Architect to be the dedicated security lead for one of their most important enterprise customers.

You'll be the customer's main security advisor. You'll own their security architecture roadmap, influence strategy at C-suite level, and steer security decisions across endpoint, identity, cloud and security operations. The role is very visible and customer facing, so it suits someone who is as comfortable in the boardroom as they are in a design review.

What you'll be doing

  • Acting as Lead Security Architect and trusted advisor for a key enterprise account
  • Building and owning security architecture roadmaps that line up with business goals
  • Leading security design reviews across infrastructure, cloud, endpoint, identity and SecOps
  • Advising on XDR and EDR strategy, tooling, controls and frameworks
  • Running security assessments, gap analyses and architecture reviews
  • Taking security transformation projects from requirements through to implementation and governance
  • Presenting recommendations to technical teams and to senior business leaders

What we're looking for

  • A background in an MSP or MSSP. This is essential
  • Hands-on architecture experience with XDR and EDR platforms
  • Strong experience across Microsoft Defender (Defender for Endpoint, Defender XDR), SentinelOne and CrowdStrike
  • Knowledge of the wider Microsoft security stack: Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview, M365 Security and Azure
  • Experience as a Security Architect, Lead Security Consultant or Senior Security Engineer with architectural responsibility
  • A track record of working directly with clients in consultancy or managed services
  • The confidence to challenge stakeholders while keeping the relationship strong
  • Eligibility for SC clearance

Nice to have

  • CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF or Microsoft Security certifications
  • Threat hunting, incident response and SIEM experience

Why apply?

You'll own the security strategy for a flagship customer, with real influence and direct access to senior stakeholders. You'll work alongside a highly respected security team using market-leading technology, and the business has a strong track record of growing its people.
