We’re looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join us on a 12-month fixed-term (maternity cover) contract. This role sits at the heart of our finance team, supporting the Finance Manager and Financial Controller with accurate, timely management accounts across multiple entities. It’s a hands‑on role where you’ll get involved in everything from reconciliations and intercompany work to shipping costs, invoicing, and month‑end reporting. You’ll see how finance connects directly into a fast moving operational business and you won’t be stuck on just one small slice of the puzzle. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities
  • Complete intercompany recharges and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Post and maintain shipping accruals, ensuring accuracy of logistics costs
  • Raise and process customer invoices accurately and on time
  • Work with the shipping team to help resolve courier charge queries and disputes
  • Review courier invoices and rate cards to ensure accuracy and cost control
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for sister companies
  • Support year‑end reporting packs for property entities
  • Assist with agency and rework reconciliations and related invoicing
  • Support USA payroll processing and related finance tasks
  • Complete Office for National Statistics (ONS) reporting requirements
  • Get involved in ad hoc finance projects and improvements as they arise

About You

  • Experience in a finance, accounts assistant, or assistant management accountant role
  • Studying or qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent experience)
  • Comfortable with reconciliations, journals, and core bookkeeping principles
  • Confident using Excel and accounting systems
  • Naturally organised with a strong eye for detail
  • Able to work at pace and manage multiple priorities
  • A team player who communicates clearly and asks questions when needed
