Acting as a key link between internal teams, logistics service providers, brokers, and trade/compliance specialists, the position plays a vital role in minimising compliance risk, preventing shipment delays, and maintaining accurate documentation and cost control within supply chain operations. The role also holds site‑level responsibility for Dangerous Goods (DG) compliance, including DGSA‑related oversight to ensure regulated shipments are correctly classified, prepared, documented, and shipped in full compliance with ADR, Dangerous Goods Regulations.
Key Responsibilities

- Communicate order and shipment information to brokers and logistics partners to ensure timely preparation of documentation and customer releases.
- Provide accurate delivery and shipment status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare, manage, and validate all required shipping, import, and export documentation, including licenses where applicable.
- Request shipment of materials once available and ensure coordination through to warehouse receipt.
- Perform initial PPOAO screening for materials and shipments using the PL1 Quick Review tool in line with internal working instructions.
- Verify PPOAO‑related shipping documentation and ensure alignment with customs, port health, and regulatory requirements.
- Support preparation and coordination of PPOAO documentation, including private attestations and supporting paperwork, where required.
- Receive and check all shipment documentation, resolve discrepancies, and request corrected documentation as needed.
- Support customs clearance activities and assist with resolution of GTS blocks or documentation holds in collaboration with Trade / GRA teams.
- Escalate PPOAO classification queries or regulatory uncertainties to appropriate specialists when required.
- Track shipments throughout transport and confirm successful arrival at the warehouse.
- Work closely with warehouse teams to coordinate packaging or repackaging to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in logistics, supply chain, customs, or related operational roles.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and experience working with automated systems (e.g. SAP, logistics platforms).
- Fluent business English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A collaborative, proactive, and detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment.
- DGSA (ADR) certification held or willingness to obtain DGSA qualification within an agreed timeframe; experience supporting dangerous goods compliance across road, sea, and/or air transport is desirable.
