Be at the heart of the operation. Shape decisions. Drive change. You didn’t qualify CIMA/ACCA/ACA in finance to sit on the sidelines. You wanted to influence decisions, understand how the business really works, challenge, improve, and make things better.
If that sounds familiar, this role was built for you.
This is a true operational Finance Business Partner role - embedded in the heart of the business, not observing it from a distance. You’ll work alongside senior operational leaders every day, helping them:
- Understand what the numbers are really saying
- Make better, faster decisions
- Improve performance, efficiency and value
- Challenge the status quo and drive change
This is finance with sleeves rolled up. You’ll be trusted to think, challenge, and act - not just report. And you’ll do it with the backing of a high-quality, commercially minded CFO who:
- Actively encourages ideas
- Gives autonomy, not micromanagement
- Invests time in developing people
- Creates space for you to grow and step up
If you’re someone who thrives when given ownership and responsibility, you’ll feel at home here.
What’s in it for you:
- Real influence - your insight will shape operational and strategic decisions
- Visibility - you’ll be part of the site leadership conversation, not an afterthought
- Autonomy and trust - freedom to improve, challenge and implement
- Development - support from a CFO who genuinely backs talent
- Variety - no two days are the same in a fast-moving operational environment
- Purpose - see the direct impact of your work on performance and outcomes
This is the kind of role where your fingerprint will be visible on how the business operates.
What you’ll be doing (in reality):
- You’ll own and partner across the full operational finance agenda, including:
- Costings, production variances and operational performance
- Inventory, overheads and working capital
- Capital investment analysis and decision support
- Budgets, forecasts and longer-term planning
- Translating numbers into clear, practical insight for non-finance leaders
- Driving continuous improvement across processes and ways of working
You’ll work closely with operational teams - challenging constructively, supporting confidently, and helping the business raise standards.
Who this will suit:
- This role is ideal for someone who:
- Is commercially curious and operationally minded
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
- Enjoys being close to the action, not removed from it
- Has ideas and wants the freedom to use them
- Thrives on improving how things work
- Is confident working with non-finance stakeholders
- Wants to grow, develop and be trusted
You may be fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA) or qualified by experience - what matters most is mindset, impact, and appetite to add value. Experience in a fast-paced operational or manufacturing environment will suit you well.
The bottom line:
This isn’t a role for someone who wants to play it safe. It’s for someone who wants:
- Influence over insight
- Partnership over process
- Growth over stagnation
If you’re an ideas-driven finance professional who wants to be heard, trusted, and developed - this could be the move that reignites your career. If that resonates, it’s worth a conversation.
