What you’ll be involved in

The responsibilities of the role are broad and varied, combining structured financial reporting, management accounting, and stakeholder support. This will include:

  • Maintaining robust control and analysis of overhead and operational costs, including preparation of variance analysis.
  • Producing management accounts and supporting periodic financial reporting.
  • Supporting the year-end statutory accounts process and working with external auditors.
  • Preparing and reviewing key balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end process.
  • Assisting with the preparation and review of VAT, and other indirect tax returns.
  • Responding to tax-related queries and supporting appropriate documentation and processes.
  • Contributing to initiatives that improve the effectiveness of finance and operational processes.
  • Providing financial and technical accounting support to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Supporting project work such as system enhancements, banking analysis, and technical reviews.
  • Compiling information for Board packs and senior-level financial reporting.
