We’re looking for someone ACCA, ACA, or CIMA-qualified who doesn’t just “do the numbers” but owns them, keeps the business honest, and actually makes the figures meaningful for the people running it.

This is a hands‑on, fixed‑term role (6–12 months) in a fast‑moving, ambitious business. Think PE‑style pace without the corporate layers. You’ll run reporting, cost accounting, inventory, tax, and compliance and your work will actually be used.

Responsibilities

• Own the numbers, monthly and annual financial statements, period‑end closes.
• Inventory & cost accounting, lots of reconciliations all accurate, all of the time.
• Controls & compliance, GAAP, policies, tax and audits don’t scare you.
• Make things better, spotting gaps, improving processes, reporting smarter.
• Be the go‑to, your insights actually guide leadership decisions.
• Sharp, hands‑on, and accountable, you like seeing the impact of your work.
• Big‑business background: PLC/blue‑chip retail, FMCG/complex operations.
• Can juggle pace, complexity, and detail without breaking a sweat.
• Thinks strategically but isn’t afraid to roll sleeves up.
• Location: Harrogate (hybrid working available)
