FP&A Manager – Private Equity Backed Growth Story. Fully Remote (UK-based). This is not your typical FP&A role. You'll be stepping into the engine room of a PE-backed, high-growth e-commerce business that's gearing up to double in size to over £200m turnover. With major acquisitions in the pipeline, new investment on the horizon, and a leadership team with a proven track record of building billion-pound businesses, the opportunity here is simple: this is your chance to be part of something transformative.
There isn't a shiny, automated finance stack waiting for you. Instead, you'll inherit complex spreadsheets, legacy processes, and raw data that needs to be tamed. And that's the exciting part. You'll be the one to build the FP&A capability from scratch. If you've ever wanted to say, "I was there when they scaled – and I built the numbers engine that powered it", this is your chance.
Why this role?
- Career-defining growth story. You'll be working in a PE-backed business in acquisition mode – involving hands-on exposure to M&A, integration, and value-creation projects that boost your CV.
- Full remote freedom. While the salary sits just below market, the flexibility to work fully remotely across the UK provides career growth and lifestyle balance.
- Stamp your mark. This is a standalone role with no legacy team or predefined playbook. You'll be trusted to unpick the data, build the reporting, and create the FP&A function almost from scratch.
- Learn from proven leaders. The exec team includes individuals who've taken businesses from £100m to £3bn, offering mentoring and exposure not commonly found in FP&A roles.
- See through a transaction. With investor exits expected in the near term, you'll get a front-row seat to a PE deal cycle – experience that accelerates future roles, incentives, and rewards.
What you'll be doing
- Build and establish FP&A capability - turning fragmented spreadsheets into clear, reliable reporting.
- Deliver commercial insights on customer journeys, cost of acquisition, and return on advertising spend.
- Consolidate KPI reporting from multiple data sources into one coherent view of performance.
- Support acquisitions and integration – helping the finance team stay ahead as transaction volumes grow.
- Work directly with leadership, providing fast-paced analysis to guide daily and strategic decision-making.
What you'll bring
- Strong FP&A experience, ideally setting up or building functions in high-growth businesses.
- Hands-on comfort with Excel, raw data, and imperfect systems (Power BI familiarity is a plus).
- Commercial mindset with proven ability to turn numbers into actionable insights.
- Experience in fast-paced, investor-backed environments is advantageous.
