Serco is proud to support the Fleet Air Arm, including the Wildcat Maritime Force (WMF) based at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, delivering services ranging from military aircraft repair and maintenance to fuel delivery and off-aircraft support services. Yeovilton is one of the Royal Navy's two principal air stations, one of the busiest military airfields in the UK, and home to over 100 aircraft.
We have exciting opportunities for Aircraft Engineering Supervisors (Any Trade) (Wildcat) to be based at RNAS Yeovilton in Somerset. This role involves aircraft management and ground support for Wildcat aircraft.
Our Aircraft Engineering Supervisors perform contracted tasks, ensuring compliance with customer policies and regulations to a high standard, and raising any customer complaints, quality issues, or business risks with team leads. They also adhere to The Health and Safety at Work (HASAW) Act 1974 and customer policies, complete administrative duties, and attend training to develop their skills and knowledge.
This position offers a 38 or 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, with optional shift work and additional shift pay.
Requirements for the role:
- Formal training in Wildcat aircraft and related trade systems.
- Experience and knowledge of Wildcat aircraft engineering, systems, and support equipment.
- Certificate of Competency at Supervisor level.
- Understanding of Lean Operating Procedures, Naval Air Publications, and C-IETP.
- Compliance with Health and Safety, COSHH, Tool Control, and Quality practices.
- Knowledge of Engineering and Asset Management Systems.
- Completion of or ability to complete the Maintenance Human Factors Course.
- Understanding of rotary wing military aviation procedures.
- Knowledge of Airworthiness Engineering Safety and Compliance according to regulatory requirements (MAA).
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, demonstrating initiative and drive.
- Ability to achieve SC clearance.
