Gama Aviation is currently recruiting for B1.3 Licensed Engineers based at our Staverton site. The B1.3 Licensed Engineer would be reporting to the Base Maintenance Manager, Rotary Wing for Gama's Special Mission Business Unit. You will be primarily responsible for the delivery of a serviceable aircraft and engineering facilities, capable of fulfilling the operational requirements of the customer. This role is based at Staverton; however, on occasion, the B1.3 Licensed Engineer may be required to perform line maintenance away from Staverton. As part of this role, you must be prepared to work flexibly as part of a team and as an integral part of the Gama Aviation Engineering Group, possessing strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.
To be considered for this position you will hold a UK CAA B1.3 Licence, preferably with one of the following type ratings:
- Leonardo AW139
- Leonardo AW169
- Airbus H145

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the successful completion of all allocated, planned and ad-hoc maintenance tasks
- Responsible for the management of and performance/quality of performed works in compliance with applicable company process and procedures
- Ensure correct compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Maintain the required engineering licence and applicable type rating as required to perform duties and be responsible for ensuring licences and type ratings do not lapse and are kept up to date
- Accountable for providing professional communication with customers and contacts as required
- Individual responsibility for booking accurate, and consistent timekeeping in applicable software system
- Completion of work in a safe and appropriate manner considering risk to personnel, property and reputation
- Completion of maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Central Planning Department
- Reporting defects to the Maintenance Manager or Central Planning Department
- Reporting issues regarding matters of Health and Safety or Flight Safety, via the Company's reporting system
- Engineering additional duties as directed by the Maintenance Management or Central Planning Department
Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:
Essential
- A UK CAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence category B1.3
- Type rating on at least one of the following; Leonardo AW139, Leonardo AW169 or Airbus H145
- The ability to work alone and the willingness to travel. This role is shift based primarily at our Staverton HQ but may require cover across the whole country to support AOG situations as necessary.
- A good working knowledge of the regulations and requirements associated with aircraft maintenance, Health & Safety and Human Factors
