Web Developer

Are you a talented web developer with a passion for providing technical support to internal staff and external customers?, Building and maintaining in-house and external facing web applications and developing our Application Program Interfaces (APIs) for data exchange between applications, while running performance benchmarking tests and optimizing existing code. You will need to be able to provide internal and customer-facing software support, including troubleshooting, bug fixing based on feedback.

Creating support documentation for end-users and code-level documentation for other team members. You will be responsible for analysing web traffic to fix faults and fine-tune application performance at the database layers.

We are seeking an experienced individual who can build and maintain our in-house and external facing web applications, while also offering 1st line technical software support. This role requires expertise in PHP, HTML CSS/SASS, MySQL database architecture, MVC style frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter, Nginx or Apache, Linux distros such as Debian or Ubuntu., · Computer science

Experience

· 5+ years’ experience in web development using PHP, HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript

· 5+ years’ experience in MySQL database architecture, implementation, maintenance

· 3+ years’ experience with MVC style frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter

· 3+ years’ experience with Nginx or Apache

· Basic working knowledge of Linux distros such as Debian or Ubuntu

Skills

· Candidates should be highly personable with strong decision-making abilities.

· Experience in working in a pressurised environment

· Comprehensive knowledge on Dynamic Risk Assessment Management.

· Proven experience in People Management roles

· The ability to be tactful and diplomatic as required
