GE’s Power Conversion business, part of GE Vernova, provides electrification systems that are critical to customers’ power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with some of the world’s major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.

We are seeking a Lean Specialist for our Rugby plant who will lead and facilitate lean initiatives focused on optimizing processes, eliminating waste, and driving operational excellence. This role involves coaching teams and leading continuous improvement initiatives and projects to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Implement and sustain Lean initiatives across the facility to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Coach cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and cost-saving actions using Lean methodologies.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality departments to optimize processes and ensure product reliability.
  • Deliver Lean training and coaching to employees at all levels, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights and KPIs to measure and evaluate the impact of lean initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Lean in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree of an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
  • Strong analytical and inquisitive thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven inferences.
  • Strong oral and written English language skills.
  • Comfortable commuting to the Rugby facility on a daily basis.

Desired Characteristics

  • Proficiency in MS Office-Excel, other software knowledge beneficial (Statistics, simulation, Kanban, etc.).
  • High coordination skills and hands-on approach.
  • Enhanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge with deep understanding of shopfloor management.
  • Lean training certifications, with a preference for Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in Lean management in the electromechanical sector.
  • Ability to develop and motivate a high-involvement team through commitment to meeting customer and organizational demands.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • High speed and focus on responsibility.
