GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Field Service Engineer to join our Field Services team.

The Field Service Engineer delivers expert technical support across a range of Naval vessels in the Portsmouth area, ensuring safe, efficient, and professional execution of all GE Field Service operations. This role primarily provides high‑quality field engineering support for Naval taskings, while also contributing to wider Field Service activities across Industry and Marine & Offshore sectors.

As a key member of the Portsmouth team, the Field Service Engineer plays a vital part in maintaining the smooth, safe, and professional delivery of GE’s services within a high‑profile and demanding environment.

Your Impact

  • Ensure a safe working environment by rigorously following all Company and Customer EHS standards.
  • Deliver high‑quality engineering work across maintenance, repairs, upgrades and at‑sea support, keeping Naval vessels fully operational and mission‑ready.
  • Diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective repairs that enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Take ownership of work packages from planning through completion, collaborating closely with customers and GE teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Provide trusted technical support, acting as a key problem‑solver for both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative service solutions that improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
