Manufacturing Leader – Military Power Facilitator (Cheltenham)

Lead a team of approximately 25 individuals to oversee daily operations, ensuring reliability, consistency, and on‑time delivery on the production line. Influence the quality of power distribution and avionics equipment manufactured for global military and civil aerospace customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day direction, coaching and support to a 25‑person production line team.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure reliability, consistency and on‑time delivery.
  • Work with military customers and internal teams to understand their needs from our power systems.
  • Plan and run meetings, workshops and reviews focused on power system performance and readiness.
  • Translate technical input from engineers into clear, practical information for others.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of documents, presentations and standard processes.
  • Track actions, issues and risks, keeping the team aligned and on schedule.
  • Support system tests, demos and evaluations as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings and training to internal teams, operators and customers.
  • Identify ways to improve processes with a focus on safety, quality, delivery and cost (SQDC).
  • Ensure compliance with all security, export control and regulatory requirements.
  • Capture lessons learned and share best practices across the team.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Manufacturing & Production.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Understanding of Lean process methodology and principles.
  • Ability to document, plan, market and execute programs.
  • Security Clearance: Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Failure to obtain BPSS clearance may result in ineligibility for the position or withdrawal of any offer on national security grounds.
