We are seeking an Electronic/Electrical Hardware Engineer who thrives on making a strong personal contribution and who is motivated to help make the organisation a little better every day. In this role you will act as the point of contact for all customer‑related technical issues, supporting Programs, the Product Line Support Team, Production support and field service teams. You will provide technical expertise and support on Civil Power products, to both external and internal customers, and maintain the design of the product during continued production.
You will lead all in‑service product failure investigations, liaise closely with customers, ensure correct processes and tools are used to identify root causes and implement corrective actions, review product performance with reliability data / production FRACAS and warranty data, and manage system‑level concerns with project and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Reliability trend analysis and corrective action planning
- FRACAS management
- Drive overall planning, management and completion of all customer technical queries assigned
- Lead investigation of field/production failures
- Create product briefings / Service Information letters
- Deliver technical presentations at fleet technical review meetings
- Act as lead on all technical issues and oversee Field Service Engineer activities as appropriate
- Provide liaison and support on technical issues to various GE departments and sites in the UK and overseas
- Support the activities of the Safety Product Management Team
- Maintain and develop detailed knowledge of the product
- Maintain relationships with customer‑facing teams, product leads and program teams
- Ensure traceability of customer queries using a tracking database and assign clear ownership for timely resolution
- Support customers in the field in the UK and overseas through modification programmes and dedicated technical support visits
- Monitor GE Product performance, identify problem areas, recommend and implement solutions
- Maintain and approve design and fielded technical documents
Qualifications
- Qualified to degree level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent engineering experience
- Proven track record of engineering technical management of Aerospace products, electronic design and understanding of aircraft systems
- Demonstrated ability to excel in all customer service areas
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Change agent with strong credibility and influence within the organization
- Ability to motivate others and achieve results
- Knowledge of power distribution products is an advantage
- Part 145 experience is also desired

Eligibility & Clearances
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. If BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, the role may not be eligible for the candidate. Sponsorship is considered under applicable UK immigration rules, but priority will be given to candidates who do not require sponsorship if a suitably qualified candidate is available.
