As an Advanced Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of Test Equipment into the production environment, along with associated documentation and spares. This includes complex test equipment problem diagnosis and resolution, documentation updates and release, corrective action management, obsolescence management, refresh and redesign support.
You will demonstrate good people leadership skills, provide technical updates, advice, and guidance to all stakeholders, whilst managing all risk associated with the delivery of the Test Equipment. Responsible for the transition of Test Equipment and supporting documentation from the Engineering Department to the Supply Chain end user. Accountable for addressing all reliability and yield related projects to enhance performance of the Test Equipment during and after the transition. Provide technical advice to the Test Systems NPI and Response teams. Able to work safely in Engineering Lab Space. Mentor junior/less experienced engineers. Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews. Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments. Adhere to Quality Management Systems processes and procedures. Use your experience and knowledge to drive both corrective action and obsolescence management projects. Provide technical support to drive medium term improvement refresh and future strategy redesign projects.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline
- Technical leadership experience
- Basic Project Management skills
- Experience with configuration/change management tools
- Debugging/fault finding skills
- Hardware/Software integration experience
- Experience mentoring less experienced engineers
- Excellent communication skills to team, peers, and all levels of management
