Overview
Reservations Specialist Europe β If Only. If Only is a luxury travel operator specialising in bespoke 5 Star holidays and cruises worldwide. We partner with travel agents across the UK and Ireland to create personalised travel experiences. This role is based in Glasgow and involves working Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) with occasional Saturdays on a rotational basis.
Responsibilities
- To achieve and exceed KPI targets related to Revenue, Margin and Conversion.
- To offer customer service that exceeds expectations on every call.
- To utilise product knowledge to offer and showcase specialist knowledge beyond standard offerings.
- To identify customer needs by asking questions and propose products that meet those needs.
- Respond to and follow up on all sales inquiries, delivering concise and accurate information to clients/agents.
- To complete all booking details accurately in our systems and ensure a seamless handover to other departments.
- To develop and maintain individual and team product knowledge; participate in relevant training and visits where possible.
- Support the business in crisis situations by following due process and taking on tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
- Learn and adapt to new procedures, products, and processes.
- Be a team player, coaching and supporting colleagues to achieve results.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and proactively solve problems.
- Be Galileo literate and able to price itineraries across multiple platforms.
- Develop and excel by learning new destinations and ways of working; provide constructive feedback to Team Leaders and the Line Manager.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and attend training as required.
- Represent If Only at company events and act as a brand ambassador at all times.
- Key attributes: minimum 2 years in a travel role; strong geographical knowledge; ability to work accurately under pressure; outstanding customer service; prioritisation and multitasking; working knowledge of Microsoft Office; GDS Galileo experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in a travel role with understanding of what it takes to be a Travel Specialist.
- Strong geographical knowledge and willingness to develop as the business grows.
- Ability to work accurately in a pressured environment and provide outstanding levels of customer service externally and internally.
- Ability to prioritise, manage expectations and multitask.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; GDS Galileo experience.
