Experienced in Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions & Explosives? Bring your expertise to the engineering assurance, certification and safe operation of naval platforms.
Airmen Technical Services is seeking a Principal WOME Engineer for a contract opportunity supporting defence maritime programmes.
Bristol / Abbey Wood – Hybrid Initial contract to March 2027, with potential extension Inside IR35 Active SC clearance essential Occasional travel to UK naval and dockyard locations
Your expertise will help deliver:
- Specialist WOME engineering and explosive safety advice
- Explosive Safety Cases and Hazard Log maintenance
- Weapons and munitions integration support
- Weapon system installation, inspection and certification
- Safety reviews and engineering assurance across the platform lifecycle
We’re looking for experience in WOME, OME, Explosive Safety or Weapons Engineering, supported by a strong background in safety cases, hazard logs, assurance and certification within a highly regulated engineering environment. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential.
Experience in naval programmes, systems engineering, weapons integration, munitions vulnerability or explosive modelling would be particularly welcome.
