Your skills and experiences:
- Minimum HNC/HND Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or equivalent.
- A good understanding of project/risk management and the ability to use associated tools and techniques.
- Have a good technical and manufacturing base, show initiative and be able to work under pressure.
- Competent in the use of computers including Microsoft Office.
- Possession of IOSH or NEBOSH qualification in health and safety management.
- Certification or demonstrable understanding of ADR (Dangerous Goods by Road) regulations.
- Working knowledge of Waste Management Duty of Care and compliance standards.

The Disposals team:
Join our small but agile team tackling complex challenges across building clearance, munitions, equipment, and energetic material disposal. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll gain hands‐on experience with a diverse product range while shaping safe disposal processes and collaborating with internal and external experts. Operating site‐wide, you'll enjoy exceptional exposure across the business, strong ties with other BAE sites, and you will be directly reporting to the Disposals Project Manager. It's a varied, high‐visibility role with real impact across operations.
