Job Summary

The Technician I / Construction Laborer must learn and possess the skills required to function as a contributing member of a technical team. Typically, the Technician I has no experience to one (1) year of experience in the structured cabling industry.

100% Traveling Required

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Install work area outlets, route cables, perform pre-termination procedures, and support cable installation.
  • Build and install racks, patch panels, fiber optics, and grounding.
  • Perform fire-stopping procedures, terminate low-voltage devices, and follow prints.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Tools

  • Basic hand tools including screwdrivers, drywall saw, level, tape measure, snips, pliers, hammer, wrench set, cable stripper, flashlight, and gloves.

Compensation

Min: USD $18.00/hr, Max: USD $25.00/hr.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 0-1 year experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Basic construction knowledge preferred.
  • Must meet company driving standards.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 pounds, and travel as needed.
  • Must have good color vision, hearing, and visual acuity.
