The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-voltage infrastructure projects, including substations and associated electrical works. This role requires proven experience delivering projects at 132kV voltage level and will take full accountability for programme, budget, and stakeholder management across multi-disciplinary delivery teams. The successful candidate will lead projects from early design through to energisation and handover, managing complex interfaces with network operators, contractors, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the full lifecycle delivery of HV infrastructure projects
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Develop and manage project programmes and key milestones
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, network operators, and delivery partners
- Manage interfaces with DNO/IDNOs, contractors, and suppliers
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders
- Manage contractor performance across civil and electrical workstreams
- Oversee budgets, cost control, and change management
- Support procurement and contract management activities
- Maintain delivery schedules and track project progress
- Identify and manage key risks and constraints
- Implement mitigation strategies to protect programme and budget
- Oversee commissioning, energisation, and final handover
- Ensure all deliverables meet required standards and client expectations
- Proven experience delivering projects at 132kV voltage level (essential)
- Strong track record managing infrastructure or energy projects end-to-end
- Experience working with DNO/IDNO interfaces
- Strong programme, commercial, and stakeholder management capability
- Experience managing contractors across civil and electrical scopes
- Background in utilities, energy, or infrastructure delivery
- Experience within ICP, EPC, or similar delivery models
Direct experience delivering projects at 132kV is essential for this role.
