IES is looking to recruit a reliable and organised Store Person to join our team, supporting operations within the Blackrod area while also taking responsibility for a satellite yard in Tebay. This is a hands‑on role supporting day‑to‑day yard and warehouse activities, ensuring materials, equipment and stock are managed efficiently, safely and in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities- Receiving, checking and storing deliveries while maintaining accurate stock records.
- Ensuring materials are readily available for engineers and site teams.
- Picking and issuing materials, loading and unloading vehicles, and carrying out routine stock checks to identify and report shortages.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant yard and stores area.
- Placing orders for materials and equipment through supplier portals.
- Oversight of the satellite yard in Tebay, ensuring it is well maintained and appropriately stocked.
- Supporting general warehouse and yard duties.
- Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or similar environment is preferred, although not essential.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Good level of physical fitness due to manual handling activities.
- Basic IT skills to support stock control and ordering processes.
- A forklift licence would be advantageous, and a full UK driving licence is desirable.
