From Formula One Cars to huge 50 Tonne Generators, at International Export Packers, we manufacture bespoke Timber packing crates and cases to hold all types of cargo, all of which are received and export packed here at our Newark Facility. With each packing crate being custom measured, made and packed, we are looking for candidates who have experience in working with wood and related machines, to join our skilled team of Export Packers.

The Export Packer will be responsible for exporting packing custom built timber packing crates of all sizes. This includes operating woodworking tools, industrial saws, and nail guns to produce crates, packing cases, and pallets for our clients' products while working to high standards of quality and health & safety. The role involves physical and varied work, including heavy lifting.
Qualifications:
- Bespoke export packing using Timber/Plywood (Essential)
- Pneumatic (Air) and/or Cordless Gas Nail Guns (Essential)
- Cross Cut/Bench Saws (Essential)
- Driving License (Preferred but not essential)
- Overhead Crane / Counterbalance Forklift (Preferred but not essential)
- Be flexible and available for short notice overtime on occasions
Candidates will need to be physically fit as daily duties will consist of manually handling large, assembled panels and long lengths of timber. This role will suit someone who is willing to work hard and diligently in an often challenging, fast-paced environment. Training will be provided on the following plant as and when necessary: Forklift (up to 12,000 Kg), Overhead Crane (50T), Scissor Lift & Cherry Picker, and Working Aloft.
Our Export Packing Team are also often required to work all around the UK and if progression to packing is undertaken, candidates will be required to do the same, though often leaving and returning from Newark on the same day (within the usual working hours). There will also be the opportunity to work away from home on occasion.
The hours for this role are 40 hours a week, between 07:30 – 16:00 Monday to Friday.
