Join IDX as our Global Head of Studios responsible for defining and driving the strategic, operational, and cultural direction of IDX’s global studio function. This role combines deep expertise in film, streaming technologies, and production infrastructure with strong leadership, commercial acumen, and organisational influence.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Commercial Contributions & Stakeholder Management: Apply financial understanding to operational and production methodologies, oversee revenue recognition principles and cost control mechanisms, support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning, align studio objectives with overall IDX business strategy, build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including C-suite stakeholders, collaborate cross-functionally to de-silo operations and improve communication.
- Leadership & Culture: Define and uphold studio principles, team culture, and ways of working, foster a high-performance environment balancing accountability with care and wellbeing, provide pastoral support and ensure appropriate intervention where needed, build, mentor, and develop talent through coaching and structured feedback, act as an escalation point for team challenges, resolving conflict effectively, ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 27001, and 27701 standards, contribute to IDX’s Cyber Security Council, oversee audit readiness, compliance processes, and documentation standards.
- Operational Excellence & Delivery: Drive operational excellence across all studio outputs and production workflows, establish and steer methodologies that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability, implement processes to minimise waste and maximise stakeholder satisfaction, supervise global studio activity, maintaining oversight of priorities, capacity, and delivery, lead on cost and resource management aligned with IDX financial principles, act as the first point of contact for escalations, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction.
- Technical & Production Leadership: Maintain deep expertise in film production, streaming platforms, and studio technologies, possess working knowledge of animation pipelines (2D and 3D), oversee the infrastructure and technical stack of IDX’s on-air product, advise on complex productions internally and externally, ensure alignment of studio capabilities with evolving industry standards and innovation, support adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-driven production tools.
About You:
- Extensive experience in film, broadcast, and/or streaming production environments
- Strong understanding of studio infrastructure, workflows, and streaming delivery systems
- Working knowledge of animation (2D and 3D pipelines)
- Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders and pitching to new and existing clients
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills (board-level capable)
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Proven leadership and people management capability
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining operationally engaged
- High level of organisation, accountability, and decision-making
