The Role
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of accounts, building long-term relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and ensuring every project delivers real impact for our clients’ investor relations and corporate communications goals. With commercial responsibility for your portfolio, you’ll combine strategic thinking, outstanding client service, and a passion for delivering results to help shape the success of both your clients and our Account Management team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Client Relationship & Account Leadership: Lead day-to-day client relationships across a portfolio of accounts, acting as the primary point of contact. Build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders, progressively developing senior-level engagement. Develop a strong understanding of client business models, investor relations strategies and communications agendas. Hold regular client status meetings, performance check-ins and activity reviews, particularly around results announcements and campaign delivery. Stay abreast of digital trends and industry shifts, ensuring continuous personal and professional development.
- Commercial & Revenue Responsibility: Manage a defined revenue target across multiple client accounts. Support client retention through consistent delivery, clear communication and value demonstration. Take an active role in renewals, including preparing renewal proposals and negotiations. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts and elevate larger growth opportunities as appropriate.
- Account Growth & Opportunity Development: Proactively identify client needs, white space and potential opportunities for additional services. Develop new buying and influencer contacts within client organisations. Own the development of proposals, pricing and recommendations, with business support. Support competitive tenders and new business pitches alongside senior team members.
- Delivery Oversight & Quality Control: Oversee the delivery of projects and retainers across assigned accounts. Lead project check-ins before and after key milestones to ensure alignment, quality and efficiency. Work closely with delivery, product and specialist teams to ensure work is delivered on time, on budget and to agreed standards. Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies proactively. Work collaboratively with senior leadership to support overall account strategy. Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practice within the Account Management team. Participate in IDX events, industry activities and agency initiatives.
About You
- Experience in a commercial Account Management role within a digital, corporate communications, investor relations or related environment.
- Proven experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Commercial awareness with experience working to revenue targets.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities and contribute to account growth.
- Collaborative, proactive and detail-oriented approach.
