Hourly Rate: £16.42 p/h
Contract type: Permanent, Full Time
Working hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 - 16:00. 40 hours per week.
About the role
We currently require a Team Leader to help clean the water/paths on Longford River. The Longford River is an artificial waterway that diverts water 19km from the River Colne at Longford to Bushy Park (runs into & through Bushy Park). Leading a 2 man team, you will work alongside an operative to clear paths with brush cutters and strimmers and clearing weeds from the river. You will be expected to maintain and encourage idverde's high standard of work and keep the river clean, presentable and safe for the public. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable experience, and grow with us in a friendly and encouraging environment.
Requirements
- An understanding/experience of waterways maintenance is essential.
- Experience using brush cutters is essential (NPTC Level 2 preferred).
- Previous Grounds Maintenance experience using strimmers, hedge cutters and ride on mowers is preferred.
- A full valid UK manual driving licence is essential.
- PA1 and PA6 licenses are preferred.
- Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Friendly, outgoing manner to engage with general public.
