About the role
As a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader based at Weeton Barracks, you will be responsible for leading a small team in delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services across Ministry of Defence sites and associated locations. You will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and quality control of scheduled works, ensuring compliance with all health and safety and security procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, or a similar outdoor operational role.
- Experience leading or supervising a team is essential.
- Good understanding of grounds maintenance techniques, tools, and machinery.
- Full UK driving license is essential - towing license or tractor qualification desirable.
- PA1/PA6 spraying certificates desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and travel between sites if required.
- Must be able to pass DBS and MOD security clearance due to the nature of the site.
