Grounds Maintenance Supervisor/Foreman Location: Paisley, Erskine Salary: £12.71 - £14.50 DOE Contract Type: Full-time, permanent Working Hours: Monday - Friday, About this role As a working supervisor/foreman you will be leading a grounds maintenance team, ensuring that all landscaping, horticultural and general grounds maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The role involves hands-on work alongside the team, planning daily activities, managing resources and maintaining good relationships with clients and colleagues. Key Responsibilities Supervise and motivate a team of grounds maintenance operatives. Plan and allocate daily workloads and ensure tasks are completed within agreed timescales. Carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, pruning, planting, weeding and general grounds maintenance. Operate and maintain grounds maintenance machinery, tools and equipment safely. Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and company standards. Conduct site inspections and identify maintenance requirements. Liaise with clients, site managers and members of the public in a professional manner. Complete daily work records, timesheets, vehicle checks and other relevant paperwork. Monitor stock, equipment and materials and report requirements to management. Ensure the team follows company health and safety procedures and risk assessments. Identify hazards and take appropriate action to maintain safe working environments. Provide guidance, training and support to team members. Report issues, defects, incidents and customer concerns to management. Assist with scheduling, estimating and organising work where required. Ensure vehicles, machinery and equipment are kept clean, secure and in good working order. Carry out other reasonable duties associated with the role. Essential Skills and Experience Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or horticulture.
