Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire
Hourly Rate: £12.55
Contract type: Permanent, Full Time
Working hours: 37 to 40 hours per week. Longer hours in the Summer with banked time off in the Winter. Typically Mon - Thurs 7am - 3pm in Winter (3:45pm finish in Summer), Friday 7am - 2:30pm.
About the role
Supervising a small team as Grounds Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance, spraying, and more! As part of our South Wiltshire team in Salisbury, you will lead your team of 2-3 operatives and ensure grounds in the local community are kept in wonderful condition. It’s a great opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable experience, and grow with us in a friendly and encouraging environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in grounds maintenance, including winter pruning.
- Experience on large flail mowers, strimming, blowers and with winter hedge cutting.
- Previous team lead / supervisory background.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- A full valid UK driving licence & ability to tow.
- Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
- Willingness to learn and work well in a team.
- PA1 and PA6 licences are an advantage, but not essential.
