B2B 360 business development, sales, and account management role covering market intelligence. Based nationwide (preference for those near London, Cambridge or an international airport). In this B2B 360 role, the candidate will identify and engage new prospects; meet with prospects to understand their needs and convey our solutions; manage and grow client accounts; and represent IDTechEx at international events.
We are seeking candidates who are able to regularly travel to meet with clients and attend events, capable of engaging with and successfully selling to senior business professionals, and who have shown they can develop and grow accounts. The candidate should have at least five years of successful sales experience, preferably across new business development and account management.
Key job responsibilities:
- Successfully establish new business accounts through business development activities including prospecting at events, lead follow-up, calling, high activity on LinkedIn and contact databases, monitoring relevant industry news to identify targets, and creatively identifying new tools to achieve the same.
- Retain and grow existing accounts by ensuring needs are met and building trust.
- Establish and develop strategic relationships with C-level executives.
- Prospect for new clients at international events and represent IDTechEx at events we exhibit at.
- Help grow our network and brand through effective hunting and networking: establish and develop strategic relationships with senior executives.
- Match client needs to IDTechEx products and services, elaborating on the value IDTechEx services provide.
- Manage your designated territory/account sales pipeline and think of strategic ways to develop your region and increase revenue.
- Achieve sales targets.
- Familiarize yourself with the competitors and what sets us apart from the competition and competently respond to queries.
- Work closely with IDTechEx teams (including analysts and marketing) and maintain analyst, client and industry relationships.
- Set-up face to face meetings with new prospects and attend these meetings (virtually and in person).
- Support company-wide activities and initiatives.
- Accurately maintain and update the CRM database.
- Travel to customer locations (outside of the UK), events and conduct presentations about the company.
Job requirements:
- A minimum of five years' B2B sales experience.
- Successful track record as a Sales and Business Development Manager, with experience in new business sales and preferably some account management experience.
- Sales experience to C-suite professionals that can be transferred to selling market intelligence products.
- A person with initiative, results driven, highly self-motivated with ability to adapt quickly.
- Excellent interpersonal and IT skills.
- Able to travel extensively (nationally and abroad).
