IDS-INDATA is seeking a Level 1 Infrastructure NOC Engineer to join our Service Operations team. This is an entry-level role suited to graduates or early-career candidates looking to build a career in IT infrastructure, networking, or cybersecurity.
The role involves:
- Monitoring customer environments
- Responding to alerts
- Logging and managing incidents
- Performing initial troubleshooting across network, server, and cloud platforms
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring issues are correctly prioritised and escalated
- Maintaining accurate ticket updates
- Following defined operational procedures and runbooks
- Supporting routine service requests such as account provisioning, system checks, and scheduled maintenance activities
- Identifying potential security concerns and escalating them to specialist teams where required
Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn are essential, along with a basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, and familiarity with Windows or Linux systems.
The role operates on a standard Monday to Friday (8x5) working pattern, with participation in an on-call rota once training has been completed. As the organisation continues to expand its managed services capability, there is an expectation that the team will transition to a shift-based model providing extended or 24x7 coverage, with a shift allowance applied when introduced.
This position offers a clear development pathway into Level 2 engineering roles and beyond, with opportunities to progress into Network Engineering, Server or Cloud Professional Services, or SOC and security-focused roles.
