We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Security Demand Manager to act as the central coordination point for all security-related demand across Telecom Network Engineering. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong stakeholder management, technical understanding, and security governance experience within complex telecoms or enterprise network environments.
The successful candidate will work closely with Security, Audit, Risk, Compliance, and Network Engineering teams to manage incoming security requests, interpret requirements, coordinate responses, and reduce operational overhead on engineering delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the single point of contact and gatekeeper for all security demand into Network Engineering.
- Manage and triage incoming security requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with requestors to understand and clarify security, audit, compliance, and risk-related requirements.
- Coordinate with Network Engineering domains to identify the appropriate technical owners and required inputs.
- Gather, consolidate, and manage technical responses across multiple engineering teams.
- Ensure requests are prioritised appropriately based on business risk, regulatory obligations, and operational impact.
- Translate high-level security and compliance requirements into actionable engineering deliverables.
- Reduce operational overhead on engineering teams by managing coordination and communication activities centrally.
- Track and manage demand across areas including: Risk and security registers, Audit remediation activities, Regulatory and compliance requests, Security assurance activities, Incident follow-ups, Governance and reporting requirements.
- Drive accountability and timely delivery of responses and remediation activities.
The role will interface across multiple Network Engineering domains including: Data Core, Voice Core, Subscriber Management, Infrastructure, OSS, Telco Applications, Fixed Voice. The role will also work closely with teams involved in: Security Governance, Risk & Compliance, Audit, Regulatory Assurance, Security Operations.
Skills & Experience Required- Experience working within Network Engineering, Telecommunications, or Enterprise Infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of security governance, risk management, audit, and compliance processes.
- Ability to interpret technical and security requirements and coordinate appropriate engineering responses.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional demand, intake, or governance processes.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams effectively.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-demand environments.
- Telecommunications or service provider experience.
- Exposure to regulatory or compliance frameworks.
- Experience supporting ISO audits, risk remediation, or security assurance programmes.
- Familiarity with operational support systems (OSS) and core network environments.
