We are partnering with a forward-thinking client in the financial payments sector who is seeking a Senior Product Manager with significant expertise in merchant acquiring and PayFac models. This is a business-critical role requiring a high-calibre contractor who can step in and deliver from day one.
About the Role
This role is focused on delivering strategic product initiatives within the acquiring and payment facilitation (PayFac) space. The successful candidate will take full ownership of product workstreams tied to merchant onboarding, acquiring integrations, payment processing infrastructure, and third-party platforms. You will work cross-functionally across technology, operations, and compliance teams to launch and scale innovative payment solutions.
You must have strong experience with acquiring platforms and a clear understanding of the end-to-end acquiring lifecycle, from merchant onboarding to settlement and reconciliation.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, ideally with a core focus on Product Management in financial services or payments
- Deep knowledge of the acquiring market, including infrastructure, commercial models, and regulatory frameworks
- Hands-on experience with PayFac solutions
- Practical experience working with Adyen and Fiserv
- Proven track record in launching complex payment products
- Strong technical understanding of payment flows and APIs, with the ability to engage productively with engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management across commercial, compliance, and technology functions
