We are supporting a major payments programme with two new contract opportunities for experienced Card Payments Processing Experts to support a processor migration initiative. These roles suit senior specialists with deep, hands-on knowledge of card processing environments who can operate confidently across business, engineering, and processor teams.

The engagement is part-time (2.5 days per week), offering strong flexibility alongside long-term programme stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the subject matter expert for card payments processing, including:
  • Authorisation flows
  • Clearing and settlement
  • Chargebacks and disputes
  • Scheme rules and compliance
  • Define and validate end-to-end processing requirements in collaboration with programme and workstream leads
  • Partner closely with engineering teams (Customer and Processor) to define, clarify, and validate technical implementation requirements
  • Lead detailed mapping between legacy and target processors, including:
    • BIN configurations
    • Product setups
    • Reporting structures
  • Work hands-on with processor and technical delivery teams to resolve issues and dependencies
  • Support all testing phases (SIT, UAT, end-to-end) as the processing authority
  • Provide expert oversight during cutover and post-migration stabilisation
  • Required Experience
    • Strong background in card payments processing (issuer or processor side)
    • Proven experience supporting or leading processor migrations
    • Deep understanding of card schemes and scheme compliance
    • Ability to bridge business requirements and technical delivery
    • Comfortable working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
    • Confident operating at SME level with senior technical and non-technical audiences
