About the Role

Our client, a leading global payments technology organisation, is seeking a commercially focused analytics consultant to support performance across aggregator, PayFac, and price comparison channels for a key UK retail banking partner. This is not a pure analytics role. Instead, we are looking for a well‑rounded commercial professional who can combine data‑driven insight with hands‑on involvement in processes, procedures, and partner management. You will play a key role in driving performance, supporting decision‑making, and contributing to the operational “heavy lifting” required to optimise channel outcomes. Experience with UK price comparison websites within financial services and an understanding of their role in customer acquisition for lenders will be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage performance across aggregator, PayFac, and price comparison channels, driving optimisation and commercial outcomes.
  • Analyse multiple datasets (including volume, conversion, and profitability) to produce insightful reporting that supports management decision‑making.
  • Evaluate product performance and profitability at an individual partner / price comparison site level.
  • Develop and enhance reporting frameworks to track volume performance, pricing effectiveness, and margin delivery.
  • Apply commercial judgement to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and improved conversion.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of operational processes and performance management frameworks.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external third parties, supporting collaboration and performance delivery.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights tailored to a variety of audiences.

Required Skills & Experience

Commercial & Analytical Expertise

  • Strong background in commercial or performance analytics, with a focus on driving business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Experience analysing volume performance, conversion metrics, and product profitability.

Industry Knowledge

  • Understanding of UK price comparison sites within financial services and their role in lending/customer acquisition.
  • Experience within payments, financial services, lending, merchant acquiring, aggregators, or PayFac environments is highly desirable.
  • Awareness of pricing dynamics, partner economics, and performance levers.

Stakeholder & Communication Skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt style for different audiences.
  • Comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience working collaboratively with third parties and managing partner relationships.

Consultative & Operational Approach

  • Comfortable operating in a consultative capacity while also contributing to hands‑on delivery.
  • Willingness to get involved in process improvement, operational tasks, and performance optimisation initiatives.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution.
