About the Role
Our client, a leading global payments technology company, is seeking a commercially minded analytics consultant to manage and optimise performance across aggregator and PayFac channels for a key global retail banking partner. This role is not a pure analyst position. It requires a rare blend of strong analytical capability and commercial judgement, with the ability to manage performance, drive optimisation and conversion, and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
You will operate as an aggregator performance specialist, working in a consultative capacity alongside the UK Analytics leadership team and senior client stakeholders to deliver measurable commercial outcomes across aggregator-based payment models.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage performance across aggregator and PayFac channels, combining analytics with commercial insight to improve optimisation and conversion.
- Analyse payments, transaction, and aggregator-level datasets to identify revenue, pricing, margin, and conversion opportunities.
- Apply strong commercial acumen to understand aggregator economics, pricing structures, and revenue drivers, and recommend performance improvements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal bank stakeholders and external aggregator / PayFac partners, managing performance and driving optimisation initiatives.
- Translate complex analytical insight into clear, practical commercial recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Support strategic decisions relating to aggregator partnerships, PayFac models, pricing, and performance frameworks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics, reporting, and performance management across the aggregator ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience
- Analytics & Data
- Strong background in commercial / performance analytics rather than purely technical analysis.
- Proven experience working with payments data, transaction data, or large-scale commercial datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to link data and insight directly to commercial outcomes and decision-making.
- Deep understanding of aggregator and PayFac commercial models, including pricing, margins, conversion mechanics, and optimisation levers.
- Experience within merchant acquiring, payments, aggregators, PayFacs, or adjacent financial services ecosystems.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to evaluate performance, prioritise opportunities, and drive revenue and conversion improvements.
- Proven experience operating in a consultative role within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong capability in managing and influencing both internal senior stakeholders and external partners.
- Excellent communication skills - able to present analytical insight clearly to commercial and non-technical audiences.
