Rate: £525 per day - outside IR35

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced End-to-End (E2E) Network Solution Architect to join a major telecommunications client, leading the design and delivery of complex network and IT solutions. This role sits within Network Strategy and Transformation and is critical in ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable, compliant, and robust technical solutions across both Network and IT domains.

You will take ownership of end-to-end solution architecture across major initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead E2E technical solutions from initial scoping through to delivery, ensuring alignment with business and technology strategies
  • Drive pre-project technical activities (e.g. bids, consultancy), ensuring cohesive solutions across Network and IT
  • Secure architecture governance approvals (e.g. Cross Functional Architecture Board – Gate 1) in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges across design, build, test, and deployment phases
  • Produce and maintain key architectural artefacts including Technology Requirement Specifications (TRS) and High-Level Service Designs (HLSDs)
  • Support domain architects in developing detailed domain-level designs
  • Ensure solutions are technically feasible, commercially viable, and operationally ready
  • Champion continuous improvement in solution design processes and documentation quality
  • Ensure adherence to security, regulatory, and operational compliance standards

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in E2E solution architecture within telecoms environment
  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders and balance business requirements with optimal technical solutions
  • Solid understanding of network and IT architecture frameworks, principles, and governance
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex technical projects across multiple domains
  • Expertise in producing and reviewing architectural artefacts (TRS, HLSD, etc.)
  • Knowledge of regulatory, security, and operational compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related discipline (advanced qualifications desirable)

Additional Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience delivering complex, cross-domain solutions as a technical lead
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Deep telecoms domain expertise, with strong knowledge in at least two areas (e.g. RAN & Core, or IT BSS & Core)
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments with strong adaptability and resilience
  • Consistent track record of delivering high-quality architectural designs and documentation
